Biography and Story of Lp Gai

1. Introduction
Phra Kru Bawornsuwansathit (Lp Gai) is the abbot of Wat Thungfaek, located in Tambon Wangluk, Amphoe Samchuk, Suphanburi.
He was born on August 13, 1972, to Mr. Banjong and Mrs. Sirivun Khunpradit in Samut Sakhon Province.

 
2. Early Life and Education
Lp Gai completed his elementary education at Ban Klongkae School, Tambon Omnoi, Amphoe Krathum Baen, Samut Sakhon.

From a young age, he showed a strong passion for learning, especially in Khmer script and Yantra studies. Through a benevolent elder, he was introduced to revered teachers, marking the beginning of his spiritual journey.

 
3. Training Under Luang Phor Sood
During his youth, Lp Gai became a disciple of Luang Phor Sood of Wat Kahlong, a highly respected monk of that era.

He dedicated himself to studying under Luang Phor Sood until 1983, when his teacher passed away. This marked a turning point in his life as he entered his teenage years and began exploring broader life experiences.

4. Continuing the Lineage
Later, Lp Gai reconnected with the lineage through Luang Phor Phayont, the principal disciple of Luang Phor Sood.

He returned to Wat Kahlong to formally continue his studies and diligently pursued the teachings passed down through the lineage.

 
5. Sacred Knowledge and Spiritual Journey
Lp Gai further sought knowledge from respected teachers including Ajarn Pong Nuammanah and Phor Thai Nuammanah.

During this period, he received sacred tattoos, including the Golden Pig Yantra. He traveled extensively across Thailand in pursuit of wisdom and deeper spiritual understanding.

 
6. Ordination and Monastic Life
On August 24, 2004, Lp Gai ordained at Wat Thapikhunthong in Suphanburi.

Originally intending to ordain temporarily to fulfill his filial duty, he found profound peace in monastic life and chose to remain ordained permanently.

After his second Buddhist Lent, he began practicing Tudong (forest pilgrimage), a practice he continues annually to this day.

7. Becoming Abbot of Wat Thungfaek
In 2011, the community invited Lp Gai to become the abbot of Wat Thungfaek.

He devoted himself to developing the temple as a center for Buddhist learning and practice. In 2019, he was granted the ecclesiastical title of Phra Kru Bawornsuwansathit by royal decree.

 
8. Present Day
Today, Phra Kru Bawornsuwansathit (Lp Gai) continues serving as abbot of Wat Thungfaek.

He is respected by disciples both in Thailand and internationally, including Singapore, Malaysia, China, and Hong Kong.

He remains committed to spreading the Dharma and preserving the teachings of Buddhism for future generations.
